IEN101 Economics I

This course covers the basic information about the science of economics, and economics, basic economic concepts, the production process, production rules and contains the main points of the theory of value-for-money

 

BIT111 Introducition to Computer

Information technologies and computational thinking; problem solving concepts and approaches; algorithm and flowcharts; computer systems; basic concepts of software and hardware; basics of operating systems, current operating systems; file management; utilities (third party software); word processing programs; calculation/table/graph programs; presentation programs; desktop publishing; database management systems; Web designing; internet use in education; communication and collaboration technologies; safe internet use; IT ethics and copyrights.

 

IEN103 General Acounting I

Definition and function of accounting, basic concepts and types, recording methods in accounting, account, grouping of accounts, balance sheet balance, books and documents used in accounting, basic financial statements, uniform chart of accounts and explanation, monitoring of financial movements, explanation and monitoring of active accounts.

 

IEN105 General Business

Definition of the business and concepts related to the business, the characteristics of the business, its purpose and resources, the environment of the enterprise, the classification of the enterprises in terms of legal structures, the size of the enterprise, the location and selection of the enterprise, the functions of the enterprise: management, production, accounting and finance, marketing, human resources, public relations, R&D.

Internal and external reasons that prepared the collapse of the Ottoman Empire; XIX. Innovation movements in the Ottoman Empire in the 19th century; The currents of ideas in the last period of the Ottoman Empire; XX. The political and military situation of the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the century; World War I and the Armenian question; Invasion of Anatolia and reactions; Mustafa Kemal Pasha's departure to Samsun and his activities; congress period and organization; the opening of the last Ottoman Chamber of Deputies and the acceptance of the National Pact; Preparation for the National Struggle and the material and moral foundations of this preparation; The opening and activities of the TGNA; Treaty of sevr; the struggles on the Southern and Eastern fronts; the establishment of the regular army, the Greek offensive and the wars on the Western front, the signing of the Armistice of Mudanya, the convening of the Lausanne Conference and the signing of the Peace Treaty.

 

TURK101 Türk Dili I

Dilin insan ve toplum hayatındaki önemini kavratmak, dillerin sınıflandırılmasını ve Türkçe’nin dünya dilleri arasındaki yerini göstermek, Türkçenin ses bilgisi, yapı bilgisi ve anlam bilgisi açısından özelliklerini benimsetmek, yazım kurallarını göstermek.

IEN102 Economics II

This course familiarises students with the aggregate behaviour of the economy by providing an introduction to the economic analysis of key macroeconomic variables such as output, employment, inflation, interest rates and exchange rates.

 

IEN104 General Acounting II

It is a continuation of General Accounting-I and covers the explanation and monitoring of passive accounts, the disclosure and monitoring of income statement accounts and period-end transactions.

 

 

 

 

 

IEN106 Introduction to International Law

The topics of this introductory course include the principles that are valid among the actors of international law, the responsibilities of States towards other States, International Organizations and natural persons arising from the principles of international law. The course includes a brief history of International Law, International Organizations (such as UN, OECD, NATO, EU, Council of Europe, OSCE, World Trade Organization, Gulf Cooperation Council, International Atomic Energy Agency, etc.) It also provides a summary of the main topics of international law, including their role and importance for Turkey. Researches and presentations to be made within the scope of the course will be special for private companies engaged in international commercial (business) activities. It will deal with a specific issue of importance (such as the Law of the Sea or the Law on Energy).

 

IEN108 Introduction of International Religions

In this course, the development of international relations, basic concepts, theories and actors, the functioning of the international system and current international problems are discussed.

International law; international commercial contracts; documentation in international business transactions; payments methods; supranational integration; legal system of European Union; supremacy of the European Union law; regulatory powers of the union organs.

 

IEN201 Istatistic

Basic statistical concepts; basic information needed to collect, classify, organize, present and interpret data; central tendency and prevalence measures; probability theory; basic statistical distributions and indexes.

 

IEN205 History of Entrepreneurship

What is entrepreneurship, what it covers, who are the first entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial nations of the world, the history of different entrepreneurship examples in different countries.

 

IEN207 Economics for Entrepreneurs

This course is designed as an introductory course to economics and explains the definition, scope and importance of this branch of science. The main topics of the course are: Introduction to microeconomic analysis and basic concepts, consumer preferences, supply and demand, flexibility, production, inputs and cost, outputs, price and profitability, markets and competition, monopoly, oligopoly, perfect competition, monopolistic competition, market shortcomings. Introduction to macroeconomic analysis and basic concepts, national income, capital, investment and savings, interest rates, inflation, aggregate supply and demand, unemployment, employment, money and banking; monetary policies, exchange rates and open economy macroeconomics.

IEN202 Entrepreneurship and Business Administration

Entrepreneurship is a process in which theoretical information about business administration is carried out with innovation characteristics in a new field entered into by taking risks. The aim of this course is to provide students with information about the various dimensions of the entrepreneur in the process of establishing a new venture, supported by examples of applications from the business world.

 

IEN204 Global Marketing

Introduction to international markets, international economic environment, international trade environment, global information systems and marketing research, global segmentation, target marketing and positioning, strategies for international markets, product and brand decisions on international markets, international marketing decisions, distribution channels in ınternational markets and physical distribution, marketing communication decisions in ınternational markets, international marketing in the digital area, leadership in international markets, ethics and corporate social responsibility.

In the context of international entrepreneurship, information economy and e-commerce, e-commerce ınfrastructure, e-commerce security, e-marketing, e-commerce and legal regulations, e-commerce and taxation, e-commerce and logistics, e-commerce and information systems

Globalization and international business, integrative issues in ınternational business (ethics, corporate social responsibility, and technology management), entry modes in international business, international strategy and organization, international human resources management, ınternational marketing and production.

 

IEN303 Reigonal Energy Economy and Policy

Energy economics studies energy resources and products. In this context, the development of energy resources and products, market structures, regulation, regional agreements, results for the environment are the subjects of this course.

 

IEN305 Comparative Economic Analysis

Comparative Economic Analysis course aims to explain to students the techniques that can be used in the study of selected topics from economy (economic fluctuations, money and inflation, employment and unemployment, consumption and investment, economic crises, household and firm behavior.)

 

IEN307 Custom Legislation

The concept about customs, customs duty; funds, other taxes and fees, the law of customs, calculating of taxes; the law about rules of taking funds, penalty rules and practices; law; fees and taxes in regulations, lump-sum tax, exceptions and exemptions, unloading and loading, ındividual goods, households; touristic facilities, determination of customs value, control of customs value, export regime; temporary export and returned goods, temporary acceptance and temporary exemption regime.

 

IEN309 International Economics

Early foreign trade theories, heckscher-ohlin factor endowment theory, new foreign trade theories, new models for explaining foreign trade, international economic unions theory-1, international economic unions theory-2, customs tariffs, non-tariff barriers, foreign exchange market-1/2, exchange rate systems, external debt, external debt problems, exchange rate systems.

 

VI. Semester

IEN302 Human Resources Management

The aim of the course is to understand the effective management techniques of human resources within the business environment of the organization. In this framework, organizations will be informed about human function and human resource management within the scope of systems, procedures and activities, and ethical practices during the management of employees. Strategic human resources management, globalization, performance evaluation, training, motivation of employees, rewarding techniques, change management and flexibility will be covered within the scope of the course. In addition, detailed information on the responsibilities of human resources units within the scope of business and social security law will be given.

 

IEN304 Cross Cultural Management

Many organizations are trying to offer its products or services to many different cultural understanding in the world that gets more globalized day by day. Due to different cultural understandings of the nation-states located throughout the world, that businesses are forced to face some problems arising from cultural differences.  In this  context, examining the socio- cultural components of intercultural management information to be acquired in order to carry out their activities of savings is passed on to students in the course.

 

IEN306 International Social Entrepreneurship

It is aimed to help learn business and entrepreneurship skills that will help create a sustainable business model that addresses a social problem, to demonstrate how social innovation, change and social entrepreneurs have social impact at national and global level, and to discuss their effects as global transformers. The aim of the course is to enable students to be effective in social entrepreneurship and to be able to deal with different social problems such as poverty, education, health, environmental sustainability and social injustice.

IEN308 Business Finance

BFN308 is a fundamentals course in business finance. Finance is a way of thinking about economic problems that involve uncertainty over time. This course is designed to provide an introductory framework for understanding how financiers think, how they break down components of a financial problem, and how they make decisions as investors and corporations in the financial market. By the end of the semester, you should be familiar with financial vocabulary, understand aspects of financial theory, develop skills in financial computation, and appreciate the underlying financial mindset as well as incentives involved when solving problems of finance. You will learn how to determine risk, how to make financial decisions, and how to value an investment as a potential financial opportunity.

 

IEN310 Comparative Study Legislation

Comparative labour legislation course describes the basic subjects such as labour law, Occupational Health and safety, Social Security and foreign employee rights which are applied in Turkey and Russia, Middle East and China.

IEN401 Geographical Aspects of Business

Entrepreneurship has been one of the major topics in Economic Geography, Regional Science and sociology in recent years. When concepts such as entrepreneurship, clustering and economic growth are studied in a wide range of summers, such as Economic Geography, Regional Science and sociology, entrepreneurship activities are met in common with one of the main elements of local and regional growth.

 

IEN403 International Entrepreneurship and Leadership

In the International Entrepreneurship and Leadership course, theories about leadership in the world and the positive and negative leadership characteristics that international entrepreneurs should have in the context of these theories will be emphasized.

 

IEN405 The Fundamentals of Business Construction

To teach the students basic concepts related to entrepreneurship, to reveal the characteristics of the entrepreneur, to reveal the processes of entrepreneurship and business establishment, to provide them with legal knowledge to realize their business ideas.

The main aim of this course is to examine the relationship between entrepreneurship and innovation. The aim is to address the models that explain the theoretical connection and to draw a general perspective in terms of innovation activities.

R&D activities and various exemplary R&D institutions that pave the way for the emergence of new ideas about entrepreneurship in the world.

 

 

IEN410 Multinational Companies

The aim of this course is to provide information about the financial and economic factors that are needed for being able to operate abroad of the multinational corporations, the structure of multinational companies and strategies, the contribution of these corporations to the world economy, their impacts on the paying balance, and the cost-benefit analysis of the multinational companies.
